Navigating Cancer offers patients added flexibility and ease as they manage their cancer diagnosis across more than one cancer clinic
Seattle, WA – February 5, 2015 — Navigating Cancer, the leading provider of oncology-specific patient portals, announced today that its Patient Engagement Portal version 5.1 now has single sign-on (SSO) functionality.
The SSO feature allows patients who receive treatment and care across multiple cancer clinics that use Navigating Cancer’s platform, to view all of their information and to interact with the many physicians who care for them with a single login. SSO eliminates the need for patients to remember multiple passwords and the inconvenience of logging in and out of multiple portals. Additionally, the platform allows patients to upload documents from other providers to create a single experience for all their cancer related medical information.
“Cancer patients may see surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists and other types of physicians and some patients even travel to different care providers across the country. Our goal is to create a comprehensive experience to make it as easy and stress free as possible for patients to actively participate in their care. We’re happy to provide the SSO flexibility for patients to seamlessly access their health information across multiple cancer clinics,” says Gena Cook, CEO of Navigating Cancer.
SSO represents the first step toward helping patients bring together a comprehensive record of their care experience across all of their physician interactions. As an EMR-agnostic portal with a growing install base of providers, Navigating Cancer continues to work internally and with industry leaders to connect and aggregate patient information to enable patient participation and improved care coordination.
