Cancer and Blood disease Center

The Cancer and Blood disease Center was established in 1983. Our four medical oncologists have over 60 years of combined experience in the treatment of cancer and disorders of the blood. We work as a team with radiation oncologists and other specialists in our community and nationally to ensure that our patients receive the best comprehensive care. Treatment is based on established standards of care individualized to our patients.

We have periodic lectures given on site by national experts in cancer care. Our entire staff is dedicated to creating an environment where our patients feel completely comfortable, safe and reassured, confident in the knowledge that they are important to us and we care about them and their families. Our approach to fighting cancer is based on the belief that our patients do best when they receive care close to home, family and friends.

We offer the latest in technology to more accurately diagnose, stage and monitor cancer and blood diseases. Our services include an onsite level 3 laboratory, to facilitate safe administration and monitoring of chemotherapy. We also have a state-of-the-art combined PET/CT scanner to aid in the initial staging and follow-up of cancer. Our medical records and insurance billing are all electronic and up to the level of the government’s ARRA/HITECH expectations.
