Be Prepared
for Your Doctor Visit
We believe that one key to obtaining the best care during your cancer journey is to partner effectively with your
professional care team. Unfortunately, patients don't always get to spend as much time with their doctor as they
would like - which makes it all the more important to use those valuable minutes with your doctor as effectively as you can.
For most patients this just means taking the time beforehand to think about the appointment, reflect on your health
and wellness since your last visit, review the medications you've been taking, and prepare and write down questions
you have so you don't forget.
The Navigating Cancer Prepare for Dr. Appointment feature is designed to help you do these very things, and provides
you a printed summary you can share with your doctor, and keep a notes page for your own use.
Prepare for Dr. Appointment helps you:
- Report any urgent care incidents since your last visit
- Summarize the symptoms, side-effects and health notes you've recorded over the previous weeks
- Itemize the medications you've taken and when
- Think about and record questions you may want to ask your doctor
